SW Mini-Regional Requiem Game IC: The Kindred of the Southwest have a chance to experience a real treat this Halloween. A Kindred Carnival has set up in Death Valley, and they've sent messengers far and wide inviting the Kindred of the area to come out and have a good time. It is a rare enough thing for the Kindred to find something enjoyable to do with their evenings - something to take the edge off constant life-or-death politics - but this, a truly "Kindred" event, hosted by what are reportedly members of some strange, legendary bloodline? This is to die for! Join the Kindred for a night of revelry and celebration, where haunting carnival music will replace the usual dirge of the Requiem. Engage in the sort of debauchery that only a Kindred carnival can provide. Meet with your fellow Vampires to enjoy yourselves, and to politick even as so many around you give in to the thrills of this unique carnival. Come, and discover just what brought this strange carnival to the southwest, and learn what sort of mysteries are waiting underneath the big-top. OOC: For those of us that are not able to make it to ICC the SouthWest region is sponsoring a mini regional event that will be worth up to 4 XP over cap. Date: Saturday, October
28th For any folks who are interested, there is a room discount rate of $89/$99 single/double occupancy. And there is a restaurant and Cocktail lounge on the premises so you will be able to purchase drinks if desired. The Lounge is normally open till 10:00 pm on Saturdays, if you would like the lounge to stay open till midnight, drop me a note at mark@ddelta.net and if there are enough interested people the Hotel will keep the lounge open. However inexpensive food is about 5 minutes away at the freeway exit from interstate 5 that most people will take to arrive here. There's a Friday's (once Pea Soup Anderson's); a Marie Calendar's; McDonald's and Carl's Jr.; and a wood fire pizza place, as well. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED We need a certain number of folks to help set up the props & decorations before the event and take them down afterwards. We could also use some donated props for settings. Please contact Jen Driscoll at: chumley1013@gmail.com or Christina Wolfheart at: christy@cwolfheart.com for more info on props, settings and decorations. We will also need some folks to play NPCs as well. If you are interested in helping make this event a success, drop me a note at mark@ddelta.net with the area that you are willing to assist and we will work it out. Assisting with this event will be worth Regional Prestige. Any questions, send mail to mark@ddelta.net. Thanks, Mark
